Birth of Swami Vivekananda
Swami Vivekananda introduced Indian philosophical concepts of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world, most famously during his historic speech at the Parliament of the World Religions in Chicago in 1893. His birthday is celebrated nationally across India as National Youth Day.
